HELP!!

On Saturday I posted a pic of the WIP on the design wall. On Sunday it was quilt, quilt quilt. Very exciting! Texture looked fabulous. Hours later quilting done!!

Well...................a perfectly square quilt with wonky houses was no longer square. Devastation..............

Monday spend pondering. Pulling the quilt through whilst quilting must have stretched on the bias. What to do? Dogs quilt?

I stretched the quilt and pinned it onto the wall and left it. Today with the aid of as squirty bottle of water, I wet it and left it to dry. Anyone out there with experience 'blocking' a quilt? It may take a few days to dry. Lol, how will I cope??

Better start a new quilt! That may save my sanity and take my mind off the problem quilt.

Any advise welcome! Please comment.

On my wall

WIP on my design wall!

An idea a saw from Arajane featured on Sew Mama Sew.

Loved the idea and set about doing my own take on her idea.

Arajane calls it her 3/4 log cabin block.

I think mine is a wonky pic of a holiday island. I still have lots of fiddling to do but thought I would share the work so far!!!

January finish!

This is my January finish as per New-year resolution!

This UFO has been hanging around waiting for quilting for almost a year. I have realised, when pulling out UFO's, that I generally finish most projects unless I get stuck and don't know which way to go!

In this instance I could not decide how to quilt it! Does this happen to you? So the day came when I had to Complete it. I still had no idea how I wanted to do this. I set up the 'Nina to FMQ. Not knowing what I was going to do, I started on the flower bowl and just kept going. Dense quilting around the flowers made them pop. I was pleased with the end result!

LOVELY BRISBANE!!

Warm (not 42C as in Adelaide!!)  Great break and daughter time!

This was my welcome........

One of my first quilts.  I was happy to see it on a bed!

My brief was a colourful quilt.  We were living on a yacht, sailing the east coast at the time.  This was my intro into brights.  Quilt as you go, also a first, making it up as I went.  I put 4 blocks together with the narrow sashing, quilted them, then joined the fours together with a wider sashing and corner stones. I  had not used brights before!!

 Back of the quilt.

Must do something with these colours!

Must do something about iPhone photos and layout on iPad blogger!!

Have a great day!!
