FEATHERS!!!
I'm thrilled with my feathers!! As promised I'll reveal!
Loads of practice required on feathers, not to mention the poor photography!
So enjoyed doing the workshop with Rachelle Denneny at Patchwork by Sea!
Back on deck!
At last I am feeling better. Have been so flat, unable to sew or do anything else!
Preparing for a workshop tomorrow at Patchwork by Sea. I'm very thrilled. As you know I love quilting, but am not very good at it! I have tried feathers with poor results.
I'm on my way to learning how from the greatest quilter: Rachelle Denneny. Fancy a Feather.
Promise I will reveal the results!!

A New Top!
This is a super quick quilt! Top made in a few hours. Designed by Kelly at My Quilt Infatuation.
Kelly's tutorial is at Beestees Fabric blog.
I used Sarah Fielke fabric. Love the colours.
What do you think?
I do not know how to rotate the photo! I still have 'L' plates. Also need to improve photography skills!
Tomorrow is quilt show day in Adelaide. I can't wait!

October finishes!
At last the Lynette Anderson (enlarged) quilt is complete. Yay!
I always find that I can't wait to start the next project whilst trying to complete the current quilt.
Back of the quilt using left over blocks.
Enjoyed making this quilt. Stitcheries completed during out three month caravan break away from winter cold in South Australia. LOVE Queensland winters!
Little simple bag using Little Black Dress 2 charm squares. Super quick and easy. In use. Good size. 1/4" straight line quilting effective - looks good and adds a bit of body.

Delightful baby quilt
I have been thinking about making a baby quilt, using lime, white and navy fabrics. Greatest motivation to begin was the birth of a new little boy called Levi. So I got to work!
Quilting with puppies!
He should be a quilter!
Toti loves quilts. Always gets onto a quilt on a couch. The downside? This is the third of my pearle 8 threads. So much fun!

Work in progress
This quilt is based on a design by Lynette Anderson. I have enlarged the embroidery designs. The originals were a little too small for me to stitch. I did the stitcheries while we were in Queensland on holidays. We tend to head north each year in the winter to escape the Adelaide winter.
Packing enough sewing to keep me busy is a real challenge. More and more storage in the caravan is required for quilting projects each time we go away. But any excuse to visit quilt stores along the way!!!!
One of my little projects was to make some coasters to match colours in a painting! They look like eyes all put together!! I used raw edge appliqué.

WIP
Photo posted yesterday is my "star spangled" quilt. Photo quality is poor! Hopefully I'll improve these skills.
The 1/2" hexie quilt is ready for me to quilt. It is up on the wall waiting for FMQ inspiration, any ideas out there?

Back home in sewing heaven!
This is my first post. I have been following a number of blogs for a while and so enjoy it!
I want to use this as keeping a log of my quilting, and to be active and participate in blogging world.
We have just returned from a 10 week caravan trip. Wow did I take projects with me. I feel I have make millions of 1/2" hexies! Now I have lots to finish. I will attempt to post some pics soon.
We spent some time in Queensland and took in some amazing quilt shows in Brisbane and around Brisbane. A special deviation to Wagga Wagga to see Sam Bowker's showing of work of the tentmakers of Egypt at the uni. Sooo inspiring!,
